Open Day at St. Peter and Paul Parish for the Youth of Yaoundé II University of Soa

On Saturday, June 15, the Open Doors Day was celebrated in the S. Pedro and S. Pablo de Soa University Parish, with the purpose of concluding the activities of the school year and of introducing the Catholic University Center to the young people of the College.

The groups of the parish prepared the stands to present their objectives and activities. Idente Youth, and specifically the Universal Youth Parliament, prepared the panels with great dedication and enthusiasm.The Journey began with the floral offering to Mary, in the monument prepared purposely for her to preside over the activity.

The presentation of the finalist teams and the corresponding matches of the women’s football and mixed volleyball tournaments captured the attention of the attendees.There were games and presentation of dances, songs, news. The prizes were awarded to the winning teams.The novelty of this year was the Poetry Contest, whose theme was “God the Father”. The names of the three winning poets of the I Poetry Contest were made public: Charlie Nguenkam, with your poetry “I am a son”, followed by Alain and Clémence.

The Journey concluded with the gastronomic enjoyment of the dishes that delight students. The cooking group worked during the night with great enthusiasm and effort, as well as the entire organizing group. It ended up being a beautiful day with many students curious about Idente Youth and PUJ.
