For the fifth time the communities representing new expressions of religious consecration are taking part in a world meeting—entitled Opening Pathways: Consecration and states of life in the New Forms of Consecrated Life—to be held in Rome, June 13-15, 2019. The participation of some forty institutions is expected, and 130 representatives of twenty-two countries distributed over the four continents have confirmed their presence.

The central purpose is to bring together institutions and associations of pontifical and diocesan right which have already been approved as consecrated life or are awaiting approval in order to examine the common traits in these new charisms. The specific focus of this Fifth Meeting is to reflect on consecration and states of life in these new communities.

The program will include both papers and working groups. It will conclude with a plenary session in which the conclusions of the different groups will be presented and which will be presided over by H.E. Most Rev. Msgr. José Rodríguez Carballo, OFM, Secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.

The coordinating team for this Meeting is made up of members of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity, the Spiritual Family The Work and the Institute Id of Christ the Redeemer • Idente Missionaries. The sessions will be held at Casa per ferie Enrico De Ossò (Via Val Cannuta 134, 00166 Roma).
