The celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Institution in Berlin, this past June 30th, has had, as usual, a very international and multicultural aspect, which is characteristic for this German city. After reading the profound spiritual lesson sent by the president of the Institute, Fr. Jesús Fernández, we had lunch in a fraternal and familiar atmosphere. This was highlighted by the presence of two young lawyers, one from Peru and the other one from Mexico. They showed great interest in our charisma and activities and stayed with us during the Ateneo.

The Ateneo started right after lunch with the assistance of a large group of friends. The performances were diverse: Peruvian songs, an interpretation of classical music on the guitar, Mexican dances, German poetry and songs. It also includes an interesting presentation of a young man who works in an archive of a huge library in Berlin about how this work is carried out.

Once again we could appreciate that artistic creativity that is shared in a familiar atmosphere. It was an expression of the highest values and ideals of the human being and converted the differences, like Fernando Rielo always affirmed, into a source of mutual enrichment.
