We are not walking alone

“We are not walking alone”, with this certainty in our heart the Idente volunteers came back home after an excursion made on October 29 to Regina Rosarii, a Marian sanctuary located in Rizal City that is distinctive for its huge statue of Our Lady of the Rosary within which there is a church and an adoration chapel.

All of us enjoyed the surrounding nature very much, but more than an excursion it was a pilgrimage mostly because we had the chance –as our beloved Father Founder says- to go for “tourism within our soul” and to acknowledge how much our Heavenly Father loves us through our Mother Mary. The fact that here in the Philippines we call her “Mama Mary” is very important. We realized that the presence of Mary in our life is essential. She is the One who walks with us to lead us to Christ. She is the One who accompanies us in our longing for holiness.

At the end of this outing one of the volunteers expressed her impression that “during this pilgrimage I was able to understand that Our Mother covers us with her divine maternity all the time. I perceived the tenderness of her love and the hope that she has in us, despite the many times that we have offended Christ and our Heavenly Father. It was very special because I understood that she heals my wounds that with God’s grace will disappear someday.”
