“Christus vivit”, guiding the Youth Mission in Thailand

The diocese of Chiangmai inaugurated the Year of the Youth, conferring the youth representatives “Christus vivit” as the guide for their ecclesial journey. Bishop Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana inaugurated the Year of the Youth, established by the Thai Catholic Church for the year 2021 with the theme “Our journey together with Christ” in a Solemn Mass. The Youth in charge of the diocese Fr.Thinakorn Latoo, Idente Missionary accompanied the youth who participated in the inaugural activities conducted on 9, 10 of April. Due to Covid19 restrictions, the number of participants was limited to 150.
Various activities took place, culminating in the celebration of the opening mass in the cathedral. The young representatives of each of the four districts received the cross, the Bible, the book “Christus vivit” and the image of the Virgin Mary.
The Bishop of Chiangmai send the young people with some words of His Holiness Pope Francis from Christus vivit (299)”…May the Holy Spirit push you in this race forward. The Church needs your enthusiasm, your intuitions, your faith. We need them! And when you arrive where we have not yet arrived, have patience to wait for us””.
The young people felt an important part of our church and lived this experience with their characteristics of enthusiasm and joy.
