On Monday, May 29, 2017, we celebrated our annual encounter of the Idente Family in New York.
St. Luke’s Parish, in Brentwood, welcomed friends with great hospitality and friendship. Nearly 500 came from various places, especially the parishes of Santa Maria and Our Lady of Solace-Saint Dominic in the Bronx, and of Our Lady of Loretto in Hempstead.
The day began at 10 am with the General Superior, our brother Luis Casasús, presenting a lesson in which he spoke of the transcendent motivations and mission of a Founder, and how that mission continues to be carried out by his spiritual sons and daughters.
Concurrently our brother Michel Nam gave a lesson in English. It was an enlightening confession of the experience of his vocation.
Following the lesson we celebrated the Eucharist, and at noon we shared an excellent lunch prepared by members of the Idente Family.
After a brief break, the traditional Athenaeum had a large number of participants, especially children.
At 5 pm we said goodbye and set out for our respective homes, enriched by yet another encounter of this great and adorable family.
The party was marked, as always, by a spirit of friendship. Many expressed gratitude for the experience shared.
We know that it is a privilege to have among us the General Superior and receive his instruction, so we do not tire of thanking him for his kind disposition and generosity.
Congratulations to all dear brothers and friends of Idente Family, on this day in which we so eagerly invoked our Founder and asked for his intercession.
