On April 3, 2026, the parish of Our Lady of Loretto administered by Idente Missionaries held its annual reenactment of the Stations of the Cross. This beloved tradition has continued for more than 30 years. The host group, Nuevo Amanecer, is composed of Hispanic young adults who are determined to deepen their relationship with God, together with many parishioners.

The participants prepared for several months, gathering weekly for rehearsals. Everyone gave their best effort to make the Stations perfect—not for themselves, but for the Lord. Many in the crowd were deeply moved by the love Jesus showed for all of us by dying for our sins. Some became emotional because of how realistic the reenactment felt.

On this day, we all reflected on how honored we should feel that Jesus gave all His love for us—even to the point of dying for us. Overall, the experience touched many hearts in a beautiful way, reminding us to be grateful to the Lord.

I interviewed one of the actresses who played a very important role—Mary, the Mother of Jesus.

I asked, “How did you prepare yourself to portray such a significant role?” She replied, “First, with prayer. I asked the Lord and our Mother for wisdom to understand the pain Mary felt as she watched her Son die.”

Next, I asked, “What was going through your mind while you were portraying the role?” She said, “I put myself in Mary’s heart and thought about how she felt seeing her Son suffer and die for all our sins. Mary suffered so much just watching her Son die without being able to help. I thought about what it would be like if my own son were in that situation.”

Finally, I asked, “How do you think your role impacted the people in the crowd?” She answered, “I gave it my all. I hope that many were touched by the representation of the Mother of God.”

Indeed, many were moved. I hope that through this portrayal, more people will recognize that God loves each of us deeply and that we must seek His love with all our hearts.
