With the innocence that characterizes the children, on the morning of Sunday, March 4, the consecration of new Idente altar boys took place in the Chapel “the Holy Family” of the University of Ibarra in Ecuador.

The children were arriving very happy with their relatives, the enthusiasm of their parents was perceived while they were dressed, before starting the Eucharistic celebration. With their hands together and their gazes on the altar, they waited anxiously for the moment of their consecration. A special blessing was given to the children and to the crosses they would carry from that moment. Finally, Fr. Thomas, Idente missionary, encouraged the children to be perseverant in this new mission, and invited their parents to accompany them. At the end of the Mass they approached their children to give them their blessing.

A very nice fact was that the next day, another of the children who had attended the mass, accompanied by his mother, timidly approached to say that he also wanted to be an altar boy like his friends.

This same day was organized a coexistence with all the altar servers, where they performed some dynamics and training activities. The theme was “Prayer and the Apostleship. The day ended sharing the impression that each of them had received. In this way the team of altar boys is strengthened in their service and accompaniment to Christ on the altar.
